Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL)
Claremont Meadows Public School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) School which provides a whole school approach to creating a positive, safe and supportive school climate in which all students can learn and develop. Our Student Wellbeing implementation processes aim to provide a Safe, Respectful, Responsible setting to maximise a positive learning environment for all our students.
Our expectations are guided by our All Settings matrix, which serves as a framework for behaviour across the school—applicable to everyone, everywhere, at all times. Students receive explicit lessons on these expectations and are regularly reminded to follow them. The four core values of being a Safe, Respectful and Responsible Learner can be found on signage throughout the school grounds.
Super Roo
Our school’s PBL mascot is Super Roo, a kangaroo chosen and named by students and staff during the program's launch. You’ll spot Super Roo on our PBL signage, tokens, and murals throughout the school. Super Roo also makes special appearances in classrooms and events, helping us celebrate achievements and announce awards.
Super Roo Tokens
When students demonstrate our core values of being a SAFE, RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE LEARNER, they earn a Super Roo Token. This could be in class, on the playground or even at the canteen.
Token Menu
At the start of each year, each class develops a Token Menu, for students to save up their tokens and exchange them for a prize of their choice.
