Cross Country

It will run from 9:15am to approximately 11:00am. Students from Year 2 to Year 6 will be participating.

Below are some additional details for the day:

Clothing: Students are to wear sports uniform and suitable shoes. Students can wear tracksuit pants before and after the race if the weather is cool. Students are reminded that no spikes are to be worn. This rule also applies at the Penrith District level.

Sun Protection: Students are required to use adequate sun protection – hats are compulsory and sunscreen is to be reapplied regularly. Sunscreen will be provided by the school.

Drink Bottles: All students must carry their own drink bottle to remain hydrated throughout the event.

Medication: Students requiring medication must bring it with them on the day (e.g. asthma puffers etc.)​

The Course: We will be using Myrtle Street Oval and surrounding pathways. Children will sit in house areas within our school.

Spectators: Parent spectators are very welcome to attend, but we ask that you come through the front gate and sign in and complete a COVID safe check in at the office before heading down to Myrtle Oval. We will have a designated area for parents to sit and we ask that you maintain physical distance and if you are feeling unwell, please stay at home.

As this is a normal school day, all students are expected to attend the carnival. The carnival has a strong emphasis on fun and participation.
